Default I'm not doing so good.

The built for my character with FoW armor got nerfed. He's now useless. I tried out the new professions and they aren't very good. I got Factions, and I need help enjoying it. When you buy a new game, you shouldn't feel like crap. I feel like crap. Please help me enjoy Guild Wars again. I have no money or anything and I need a fresh start, but I don't know what kind of character to make. I wanted to be a Ritualist, because they look cool, but they suck. All the Guild Wars fansites don't have any new builds or maps and I'm VERY frustrated right now. I'm not good at Guild Wars, but when people help me create a cool character and stuff, I like to play it. I feel like I got screwed over when this game came out, and I shouldn't have bought it, or atleast, I shouldn't have linked it to my old account, because I have to look at my nerfed FoW character everytime I log in. You have no idea how bad this feels.

I ask one thing. How do I enjoy Guild Wars?

you can't make a good character from the beginning of the game, there wouldn't be a challenge if you could just take any skill in the game and put on your bar

Level 20 W/Mo and use Ascalon Helm, and the rest Gladiator.

And how exactly is your character "nerfed"?

It sounds to me like someone needs to open their mind and try new things.

I was talking to my friend, who had the same stuff as me, and he said that some of the skills were changed and that for it to work effectively now, you'd need Ascalon boots and guantlets, and a different elite skill, which I don't have. All my hard work was chucked out the window. What would be the best way to get money from FoW armor? I don't have any good runes on it. Just minors.

No warrior is useless no matter how many nerfs there are. It sounds to me like you need to open your eyes, get a new build and play the game without maps and such. Factions is much more linear than Prophecies anyway.

....No build is armor specific....what the....and as for a new elite skill...I know this must be really hard to stomach, but my foresight tells me you'll need to capture a new one.

No need to think about throwing away your Fissure armor. Simply get a more reasonably priced set if you need it that badly. Also, if you think all your "hard work is chucked out the window" because you need a new build, go out and capture that elite you need and experiment. Relying on others' information can come back to bite you anyway, try to learn the ropes yourself.

'nuff said. I don't think you have a reason to complain, most classes have been nerfed a lot more than warrior.

So, you can afford FoW armour, and yet you can't afford 8 new skills? I find that somewhat... !

And two weeks has been enough time for you to prove this beyond any doubt? I don't think so. A friend of mine told me (repeatedly!) last June that IWAY was an awesome skill. And the metagame picked up on it in a big way, what, six months later?

Whoah, stop there. How did you ever get FoW armour (if you didn't Ebay it...) without at least a good sense of timing, execution, etc?

Make a new character in Factions. And take your time. Read all the tablets of wisdom. Take all the tutorial quests. Figure stuff out. If that doesn't help you get on your feet, I guess Guild Wars isn't the game for you.

Agreed. It's likely more beneficial to get out there and play than complaining on here. There's nothing wrong with experimenting with different skills and attribute setups yourself, that is one thing I love doing.

Then get the new elite skill and play it. No build in pve REQUIRES any specific type of armor set. They dont give you that much of an advantage to make a big difference. A certain set may be helpful but not required. Guild wars is about skill not equipment stats. You can still do it if you try.

i wouldnt want to ask how you got that FOW armor .

anyway, ya, why dont u simply pick whatever skills u can get from quests, decide which ones work nice for u for general use (say, missions in teams or so), and play abit like that? ud start to get how stuff works, and soon u could start creating ur own builds and having fun.

u could always ask people for help too, should u get stuck with something

I beleive I just got a hernia... I shouldn't roll on the floor so much. How did you afford FoW, let alone make it through the game, with that attitude? Do you seriously think that there is only 1 usefull build? What kind of warrior do you have to be to get so solo-minded about your stuff that you become a vegetable once it is "nerfed"? I'd just like to know.

BTW- characters are coolest when created on your own. It's a proven fact. Use your imagination :-D.

Wow....I just don't know what to say to that. I don't know what kind of build you had before but there are probably hundred's of different build out there especially warrior ones.

Plus, we don't even know what you're talking about. We might actually be able to help you more if you post your build.

It is possible to expert Salvage your FoW armor for the ecto, put it has the same odds of salvaging as all of the other materials in there, and it is only around 1/4th of the ecto you put in. I recomend salvaging your FoW armor because you obviously dont deserve it if you are so stubern you throw away a character because one build is nerfed.
